I'm not a theologian. I'm not a pastor, counsellor, therapist or psychologist. I'm just a regular person who has lived a bit. I've been a Christian since I was five years old, raised in a Christian family in difficult conditions, and was a missionary in Romania for three years following University.

During the Covid Pandemic of 2019, 2020 and 2021, I began meditating on Scripture and noting down my thoughts purely as a way of maintaining my own mental health and processing what was happening around me. Once I had written down thoughts on a few passages, I realised from talking to other people that they might benefit too. The thought struck me that maybe I should start a blog, which I did.

Now, four years later, this blog is still going strong.

I'm sharing these messages simply as means of encouragement at a time when we all need it. They aren't shared from a position of deep or special knowledge or expertise. As the Dr Martin Luther and Sri Lankan pastor DT Niles famously put it, this is just one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.

Considering what God has to say to His word has helped me a lot during these trying times. I hope these short meditations provide you with the same encouragement.

God bless!
